To register the death, you need to contact the registry office. This should be done within 5 days in England or Wales. It can be quicker to register the death at the registry office in the area where the death occurred, although now you can register a death at any register office in England and Wales.

In most cases, yes. Only in extreme circumstances may this not be necessary. No, funeral cars are optional. A hearse is included in all our services except the direct cremation where a private ambulance will be used.
