We want to make paying for your funeral plan as easy as possible. As a result, we offer a range of funeral plan payment options to suit your financial circumstances. Choose to pay for your plan in one advance single payment, over 12 months or spread the cost over 2-30 years (depending on your age at the time of application). A single payment is a hassle-free way to pay for your funeral service in advance while fixing the cost to today’s prices. Simply pay the full balance for immediate cover.
The 12 month payment plan is perfect if you want to pay the funeral plan off relatively quickly but would still like to spread the cost. After placing a deposit, you will need to make 12 monthly payments. The amount will depend on the level of service you request and the value of the deposit paid when joining. Deposits start from just £49. You will be fully covered once you have paid the plan off in full.
The low-cost instalment option allows you to spread the price of your funeral plan over a longer period of time. You can choose to spread the payment over 2 – 30 years (depending on your age when you purchase your plan). With this option, you must be no older than 78 years old when you join and 80 years or younger when the payment term ends.
Our fixed monthly payment plan involves paying a fixed monthly amount from when you join, for the rest of your life or until you reach the age of 90. Unlike the single payment, 12 month and low cost instalment plans, the funds go towards a life assurance policy rather than being paid into the Golden Charter Trust.
You will receive a welcome pack with your documents and membership card.
We understand that people’s circumstances change. If you move after buying your plan, just call Golden Charter to update your records and they will find an alternative funeral director for you if required.
If you cancel within 30 days from the start date you will receive a full refund. Cancelling after 30 days is subject to terms and conditions. Ask us for further information.
