We know that there are many advertisements, leaflets and websites advertising pre-paid funeral plans. While some of these may appear an attractive option, none will secure our funeral director services. The only way to guarantee that we act as your chosen funeral director is to purchase the plan through us.
If you buy a funeral plan directly from a third-party organisation, even if they tell you that you can choose us as your funeral director, the funds that they allocate to your plan may not reflect the true value of our services. They will also deduct charges and fees meaning that unfortunately, the total sum available may not be sufficient to cover all our costs and secure the services you have expressly requested.
Plan cancellation is possible. If you decide to cancel a 12 monthly or single payment plan within 30 days from the start date, you will be refunded in full. If you cancel outside of this period, you will receive a refund for all payments minus a £249 cancellation fee.
For low-cost monthly payment plan options, if you cancel the plan within 30 days from the start date you will receive a full refund for monies paid. If you cancel after 30 days from the start date but within 12 months from the start date, you will receive a refund minus a £249 cancellation fee. You cannot cancel a low-cost monthly payment plan after 12 months from the start date.

If you purchase a single payment plan, 12 monthly plan or a low-cost monthly payment plan, then the money will be held in the Golden Charter Trust.
If you purchase a fixed monthly payment option, the payments are used to buy a life assurance policy provided by Phoenix Life Limited. Again, these details are correct as of October 2021 and may change over time, so speak to us to confirm the terms and conditions of your plan.
If you change your circumstance or aspects of your plan then additional costs may be incurred.
